Nokomis Beach, located on Casey Key, is a nice public beach with free parking, lifeguards, restrooms, picnic tables and showers. There is a boat launch into the intra-coastal waterway and a children's playground across the roadway.This is a nice beach that gets crowded at times, so it's best to get there early on the weekends.

The vacation rentals on Casey Key vary from apartment efficiencies and motel rooms to rental condominiums. The atmosphere is casual with several good restaurants nearby. Historic Venice Florida is just south of Casey Key and is famous for its shopping.

 From I-75, take exit #195, go west on Laurel Rd. to US 41.  Turn Left (south) on US 41, then turn Right at the third traffic light (Albee Rd.).  Continue on Albee Rd., go over the drawbridge.  Nokomis Beach is straight ahead.
